How To Stay Up Late & Stay Awake In The Morning

Assalamualaikum and hello :)

Siapa sini yang have a tendency to stay up late? No matter lah what kind of reason pun, to watch your favorite series or movie, to read book, to study, to do the last minute revision, siapkan kerja rumah.. What ever. Sebab I'm one of those people. 

Apa lagi time cuti. That's why I have panda eyes and lately it's getting more worse. Not only just that, after the stay-up-late, in the morning I often feel too tired and too sleepy. I know that this isn't a healthy sleeping pattern but I really can't help it. 

Like last night. I was doing homeworks, Chemistry and History. And guess what time I got to sleep? 2.42 p.m.! Itu pun bukan lelap mata terus tidur. I have a sleeping problem. It took me a long time to fall asleep when I'm already in bed. And last night, or I should say last mor-night, the only kind of sleep that I got was tidur-tidur ayam. Really not satisfying considering the next morning I need to go to school. 

So, because I know that sleeping in the class isn't so good for my exam marks soon, (read: exam result, exam) I should really find a way to stay awake in class. And I actually found some tips and want to share them with you guys, in case we're in the same team. 


#1: Have a short nap beforehand /afterwards.


This is what I always do, but it doesn't always works for me since I'm not a fast sleeper. But it might work for you! Your brain needs a rest, your body needs a break. Take a 10-20 minutes nap before you start your stay-up-late session. I would recommend you to set an alarm to wake you up. Kalau you are that kind of people yang kalau alarm full volume pun tidak dengar kalau tidur, it's better if you have someone to wake you up. Tell them to just wet your face or do anything until you wake up (this is what I always tell my brothers. and also what my brothers tell me to do.)

If you're a very heavy sleeper, don't sleep beforehand. You might end up not finishing the work you're supposed to do during the stay-up-late session. So, whatever you're doing, try to finish it fast so that you can have a short nap afterwards. 


#2: DON'T have a heavy breakfast.

so so tempting. especially when you're fasting.

My Ma always say that eating nasi lemak will cause you to be sleepy. Sebab ia berlemak. 

Too much food would make you sleepy. Do you agree or disagree? For me, I do feel sleepy after eating a huge amount of food. When you just eat some heavy meal, it will cause a response sent to the brain that tells to slow down and focus on digesting rather than go out and seek more food (which means you'll get sleepy.) Okay I don't know if you understand this but yes, heavy breakfast would cause you to be sleepier than you are. So, don't have a heavy breakfast.


#3 Caffeine.




Caffeine isn't good for your health. When you're addicted to coffee, you're more likely to have a bad migraine if you don't drink it for even a day. Therefore, I really do not recommend this walaupun I always do this. However, if you only stay up late occasionally, then it's okay to drink coffee in the morning. It's okay if it's sekali-sekala, but not okay when you drink it everyday (my theory, correct me if I'm wrong.)


#4 Work in bright places

Bukanlah sini. But any bright places.
I don't know about you, tapi if I'm in a dark place, and I'm tired, it means 'time to sleep'. So I will totally be so sleepy and sleepier. Therefore, avoid working or doing anything in dark places and search for places that are bright. It is said that light has a powerful effect on your internal clock, and bright light can temporarily fake the body into thinking it's not yet time for bed.

Exam Result (urgh)

Dream work space. Just a dream, tho.

Assalamualaikum and hi! Finally I get to update my blog after 5 days of waiting.

Today (June 18th) is the 13th day of Ramadhan, alhamdulillah. I hope all of us could make it until the 30th day with success in making this Ramadhan the best Ramadhan and the one that is mabrur.

Before the school week starts (June 12th) I decided to take a look at SAPS for my midterm exam. I know it would menurun, sebab the exam's questions weren't like the March exam's questions. This time, betul-betul ikut format SPM. It was quite a challenge sebab it was first time. Tangan pun kena kejutan cramp sebab I write too much (2 essays for English, 2 essays for BM, 1 essay for Bahasa Arab, KBAT questions). 

Memang menurun pun. But alhamdulillah, still in the same grade macam Ujian Mac. Probably sebab lepas tambah markah 'PHP'.

FYI, my school uses this one system that called 'PHP'. I forgot what's the full name. Every teacher will give us marks based on our keproaktifan, hadir/tidak hadir dalam kelas, kerja rumah and things like that. And that PHP marks will effect our exam marks as well. Kalau markah PHP tinggi, maka it will help our exam marks. Otherwise, it will ruin our exam marks. At first I don't like this system, but it's for our own good so I need to like it. And I liked it (sort of).

Actually, I don't think my PHP marks would be good, sebab my kerja rumah is always handed in later than the others and sometimes banyak salah Y_Y. But still alhamdulillah for my exam result.

We Don't Live To Impress People


This post contains tons of rambling.

This community we're living in, there are times when it is too good to be true (but it's very rare tho).
And when it's bad, it's really bad.


When someone can't handle the community he/she is living in, it leads to anxiety, depression, and the worst, suicide. Sebab dalam minda orang tu, he/she thinks that he/she is not worth it. People will always say something about what she does, who she is and everything about her. Okay lets just say it's a she (I'm having a hard time writing he/she).


Humans are imperfect. That's what community exists for; to help each other and create a harmony in life. And what happens today is the opposite to the real reason community exists. People spread hate instead of love, they backbite, gossip, share the stories that they don't even know whether it's true or not. This world is so fucked up.


Someone that lives in this kind of community would be stressed because she'll keep doing everything to impress those people in that community just to fit in. When that someone fits in, she would start to feel scared to go out and meet people because she isn't the same with them.


Let me tell you something. Just because you aren't the same with other people, it doesn't mean you don't belong in the community. Every people has different traits. There are a lot of parts in a community. Just because you don't fit in some parts, doesn't mean you wouldn't fit anywhere. You belong somewhere, and if finding the place where you belong is taking a long time, then wait. Keep living, learning.


Stop doing things just to impress people if you're not willing to do it. Do things for your self. Kalau kau buat suatu benda tu just to impress people, you'll never find the real purpose for your life, you'll never actually live.

"I swear, we are infinite."

Marhaban Ya Ramadan! :)


Assalamualaikum and hello :)

I guess it's not too late to say, marhaban ya ramadan and selamat berpuasa kepada saudara muslimin sekalian. Macam tidak boleh percaya saja, yang sekarang kita sudah berada dalam bulan Ramadan tahun 1437 hijrah. 

Excited memang excited.
Tapi mesti buat goals bulan Ramadan ni.
And bertungkus lumus untuk capai goals tu.


So I listed some of my Ramadan Goals and here it is:

1. Tarawih 

As all of you know, we can only do Tarawih prayer in Ramadan, so why don't we memanfaatkan peluang yang ada kan kan kan? Last year, I ditch Tarawih prayers so many time and it's so shameful and sayang. So, this year, I decided to kasi full Tarawih. 

2. Qiamullail

Seriously, never in my life that I actually get up in the middle of the night and perform any sunnah prayer or even recite the Quran. So this year, I'll try. I'll do it. Because Ramadan is full of benefits, so I'll do it.

3. Go on technology diet

I'm one of the teenagers yang kalau tiada buat apa-apa, confirm melekat depan skrin laptop/phone. So, this Ramadan, I decided to slow it down; television, phone, laptop and even music, to do much perkara yang bermanfaat so I don't miss anything that I should do in Ramadan.

4. Khatam Al-Quran

Last year I didn't get to khatam the Quran dalam bulan Ramadan juga, so this year I decided to try khatam the Quran in bulan Ramadan.

5. Lose weights

I'm a girl, I crave for that Kim Kardashian's healthy body. So, every evening, I'll try to do some exercise. I know this isn't islamic reason but sambil menyelam minum air lah bah kan kan kan? 

So!!!! Selamat berpuasa kepada kaum muslimin and make sure that your Ramadan goals are achieved by the end of Ramadan.

And, don't forget about to berniat pada malam ini.
